Michael Phelps- The Legendary Icon.

 Michael Fred Phelps is a professional American swimmer born in Baltimore, the most populous city in the United States Of America. Michael is known as The Most Decorated Olympian Of All Time due to the most-time Olympic medalist, World Record Holder, and World Championships holder.


What Makes Michael A Unique Personality?

His hard work and focus towards his career make him the most dedicated and goal-oriented man.


 Michael initiated his swimming career when he was only seven years old.

 

His body composition and structure designed perfectly. He has broad shoulders, big feet, and a large frame. His height is six feet four inches, eighty-eight kilograms of body weight, a wingspan of 6.66 feet and size of feet is 14.


Was His Life A Struggling Life Or an Ordinary Life?

When he studied in the sixth standard, he suffered from the disease of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, which was an arduous situation for him to overcome. With the assistance of his mother- Deborah Phelps, and coach- Bob Bowman, who helped him a lot from the start of his career to recover from his difficult circumstances. 


In 2012, Phelps retired as the Most Decorated Olympian Of All Time. After retirement, he asked his coach about the comeback for one last Olympic in Rio.  

He was suffering from a condition in which he didn't want to leave his Room, didn't eat and didn't have a proper sleep. Phelps found a better option by quitting his life. From all the daunting phases, getting suggestions from the lifelong friend, mentor, and fellow Baltimore Icon Ray Lewis helped Phelps to lift in life. He said this is when we fight this is when real characters show up don't shut down because if you shut down, we all will lose. His fellows advised him to join the rehabilitation centre The Meadows. In 2014, he left the Meadows and resumed the training. 


In 2014, Phelps imprisoned for two years in the case of driving under the influence of alcohol in Maryland. 


His Practice Tactics And Scheduled

Initially, he had a phobia of putting his face directly in the water. He starts the backstroke practice for 1 hour.


Phelps practices 13 kilometres and rehearses eighty thousand metres every week. He divides his practice sessions into 5-6 hours in pool. 


Awards and Honours

He earned 28 medals in the four Olympic Sports games from 2004 to 2016, of which 23 were Gold, three silver and two bronze. Phelps set a National Record in the 100-metre butterfly at the age 10.


He achieved eight gold medals in the 2008 Beijing, China.

He is the long-time world record holder in the 100-meter butterfly,200-meter butterfly, 200-meter freestyle, 200-meter individual medley, and 400-meter individual medley. 


Michael has set up almost 39 World Records, of which 29 won at the Individual level and the remaining ten at the Relay games.
